Strangely, the leopard print is often associated with (too) sweet and neutral tones, as if it was supposed to hide and blend in a nude wash of colours to appear not vulgar. Although the tiger is in the spotlight this winter, the leopard has nothing to envy, having shown more timeless presence (I hardly speak of its use among the elderly, but about its place in our wardrobes for several seasons already) catwalk after catwalk, this print gets a makeover and finds new associations not granny-like at all.
Why do you want to tame the savageness to any price rather than firing it up ? To fire it? Not at all, or then for some cheap leoparded garments spotted here and there ... Here it is more a question of adding colour, more than welcome in this gloomy grey weather. It's all about reheating these small tasks with flaming red. Burgundy is undoubtedly the most desirable bloody touch this season and injects a tad more character to these elegant trousers.
Two birds with one stone, I wanted to wear this v-neck back sweater again and removed some dust off of these old pair of buckle boots that I'd almost forgotten, honored in 2008 and hearted again this fall. Loose pants are rather unflattering, nothing new, this is why this oversized snood had it's reason to be: soft mesh, providing material and volume to balance the top of the body.
